Resolving Conflict

Theatre Nights are now starting at The Gallery this Friday Night.

A Gift -

Months ago I gave the key to my house to Jacqui.  She has been using the gallery for free for several months.  A group of artists come to work in the space once or twice a week.  I have been watching these artistic, passionate, creative individuals collaborate for months.

My home vibrates with all this incredible energy.  It is so beautiful and healing.

The the greatest gift I have witnessed is this married couple: Chantal and Andrew.  They have the most beautiful relationship.  It really is something so special.  I spoke to Jacqui about Chantal and Andrew's relationship.  Jacqui told me how they communicate. And how they are able resolve conflict with non aggressive, open, peaceful, and open forms of communication.  I see just how beautiful their love is.  And how the dynamics of 8th Generation Performance Company is so healthy and positive.

It is such a gift to watch this group work together. I feel so blessed to have given Jacqui the key to my home / gallery.

thank you so much
with love
Patrick

Managed to complete five paintings this morning.

Embrace the Moment
oil on canvas. 11 x 14 inches. Spring 2012. Price: $300

This painting I really pushed myself to creative levels. I pushed the paint to the point I almost fucked it all up.  I tried to do another painting after this work... and it was a complete mess. But this painting I really fell into that space.

 Square painting for Maria

Film/video, Photography, and Visual Art Submissions:
<snip>   You can get the whole enchilada in today's Art List at www.artengine.ca

WHY “TWAT” FEST?

Because it’s a funny acronym! And because it’s kind of tongue in cheek, given that this is a festival for trans women (some of whom may have twats, but many of whom do not). Because I came up with the acronym and that’s what has kept up my enthusiasm for organizing this festival.

The call is open to artists everywhere in the world!

EMAIL ALL SUBMISSIONS TO morganmpage@gmail.com WITH THE SUBJECT LINE: TWAT fest submission.

She is Spring

Last night I could not sleep... again.

The last few weeks my energy levels have been over the moon.  I have been painting all hours of the day and night.  I have been extremely productive in my studio.  There are so many wet paintings... it is getting difficult to move around.

Last night I slept for 2 hours. And woke up again... So rather than count sheep... I walk down the street to my studio and paint another painting from 1 am ->  4:37 am.

It was pretty cold in my studio. It started to snow last night.

Friday night I had an amazing meal made for me by Maria.  It was really well done. Everything was very beautiful.  So I was still feeling full in my soul from her gift.

While painting late at night in the studio...

I did the following work.

She is Spring. oil on canvas. 30 x 36 inches. Spring 2012. Price: $1400.
